Our 12-Week Ableton Live A-Z Group Course is designed for creatives who thrive on shared energy and collaborative learning. We’ll teach you how to produce with Ableton Live, from your first beat to a finished track.

Over 12 weeks, you and your cohort will journey through every stage of music production together. You’ll build a solid foundation in beatmaking, music theory, and recording, then advance as a group into sound design, dynamic mixing, and professional finishing techniques. This collaborative environment is the perfect place to test ideas, get instant feedback, and build the confidence to define your unique sound.

This course is designed for you if you learn best by doing and want the structure of a weekly class to turn your passion into a professional skillset.

This course is taught using the Standard version of Ableton Live. You'll need your own laptop with Ableton installed, fully charged before each class, plus headphones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see the available times before buying a course?

We offer lessons seven days a week at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. We have multiple rooms and tutors on site giving you lots of flexibility to choose your own lesson schedule. For last minute bookings please contact us because we can often open up more availlablity for you. You can also check the available lesson times before buying a course by clicking here.

Can I book the lessons with a family member or friend?

Yes. Please contact us to arrange lessons for two or more people.

Can I buy the course as a gift?

Yes. Navigate to our Gifts page to view all the options, or contact us if you want to create a special gift.

Do you accept international students?

Anyone can book a course at LSA. Students who are in the UK with a standard visitor visa can take any of our courses. Contact us to arrange your lesson schedule if you want to complete all the courses during a short stay.

Will I receive any course materials?

Yes. When you arrive at the studio, we'll ask you to enrol on the iPads. You'll then receive a welcome email with your course notes attached.

What ages do you teach?

We teach all ages 6 and up in our DJ courses and 8 and up in our production courses. We welcome all ages at LSA and even have students in their 70s.

What do I need for my first music production lesson?

We have everything needed at the studio but many music production students will bring their laptop with their chosen software installed. We recommend the standard versions of Ableton Live, Logic Pro or FL Studio.

Do graduates of the three-month Ableton course receive a certificate?

Yes! Once you complete our three-month production course (12 lessons) you'll receive your LSA Pro Producer certificate.

Is this course online or in-person?

Our three-month Ableton course is a small group course, taught in-person at the academy.

What styles of music can I learn how to produce?

We can teach you how to produce any style of music.

How many lessons are in the three-month Ableton course?

Our three-month group Ableton Course includes twelve 2-hour lessons — 24 hours of tuition in total.

Is the 12-week Ableton course suitable for beginners?

Yes. You don't need any experience to take this course.

Do I need any equipment or hardware for the 12-Week Ableton Course?

Yes. You'll need the Standard version of Ableton installed on your laptop, and you'll need to bring it fully charged to each lesson.

How do I release my music with LSA Records?

Complete our Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Mixing & Mastering courses and then send us your demo submission for review. We will release your finished projects once they meet industry standards. We will also guide you on how to self release music or approach record labels.

Should I practice between production lessons?

Yes. We recommend two hours of practice at home for every two-hour lesson. It's also possible to book a production room at LSA if you want to practice here. Contact us to book a production studio.

Are the lessons fun?

Yes! The lessons are hands-on, and our tutors are very friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere designed to ignite a new passion.

Where is the studio located?

The address is 93a Bayham Street, London, NW1 0AG. It's easy to get to on public transport or by car. The nearest tube station is Camden Town but we are also very close to Camden Road. The closest car park is Lomax on Pratt Street. There are also several buses nearby.
