Advanced Production Course
Give your tracks the final touch. Develop the confidence and advanced skills to complete music you're truly proud of.

Course Overview
Move from loops to finished, polished tracks that define your sound.
Our Advanced Music Production Course will help you refine your production workflow and finish tracks to a professional standard. In your advanced-level music production classes, you'll explore advanced mixdown techniques by comparing your work to a reference track in your genre. Our experienced producers will show you how to arrange and polish your music, solve any issues and get your mix sounding clean.
You'll then create your first finished track, complete with a pre-master chain.
On completion of the course, you will be awarded the LSA Pro Producer certification and be confident enough to share your demos with the world.
We teach all genres of music, from Techno, House, and DnB to Hip-Hop, Pop, and RnB. No matter your style, we can teach you how to create it. All lessons are delivered through personalised 1-to-1 sessions, with flexible booking available seven days a week in our studios in Camden Town, London or online.
Our music production lessons are taught using Ableton Live, Logic Pro or FL Studio. Contact us if you need help deciding which software to use.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book my lessons?
Once you buy a course, you will receive an email from us with a link to schedule your lessons. You can choose the day, time and tutor. The schedule is up to you; most students take one or two lessons a week, but feel free to choose when you want to come. Some students who travel quite far to reach us will block-book the lessons to form a crash course. If you'd like to condense your lessons into a shorter time period, like a crash course please contact us to arrange your schedule.
Can I see the available times before buying a course?
We offer lessons seven days a week at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. We have multiple rooms and tutors on site giving you lots of flexibility to choose your own lesson schedule. For last minute bookings please contact us because we can often open up more availlablity for you. You can also check the available lesson times before buying a course by clicking here.
Can I book the lessons with a family member or friend?
Yes. Please contact us to arrange lessons for two or more people.
Can I buy the course as a gift?
Yes. Navigate to our Gifts page to view all the options, or contact us if you want to create a special gift.
Do you accept international students?
Anyone can book a course at LSA. Students who are in the UK with a standard visitor visa can take any of our courses. Contact us to arrange your lesson schedule if you want to complete all the courses during a short stay.
Will I receive any course materials?
Yes. When you arrive at the studio, we'll ask you to enrol on the iPads. You'll then receive a welcome email with your course notes attached.
What ages do you teach?
We teach all ages 6 and up in our DJ courses and 8 and up in our production courses. We welcome all ages at LSA and even have students in their 70s.
What do I need for my first music production lesson?
We have everything needed at the studio but many music production students will bring their laptop with their chosen software installed. We recommend the standard versions of Ableton Live, Logic Pro or FL Studio.
Do I receive a certificate when I've completed my music production course?
Yes. Once you complete the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels you'll receive your LSA Pro Producer certificate.
Are production lessons in-person or online?
We offer you the option to learn in-person at our studios or book online lessons. In-person lessons are taught at our studios in Camden Town, London. Online lessons are still 1-1 and facilitated via Zoom. If you'd like to book online lessons please contact us.
What styles of music can I learn how to produce?
We can teach you how to produce any style of music.
How many lessons are in this production course?
Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced production courses each include four 2-hour lessons — eight hours of tuition per course.
What music production software do you teach with?
Once you've booked your course, you can choose Ableton, Logic or FL Studio lessons. Some of our tutors also teach Reason and Cubase — contact us to arrange lessons on those.
I already have some production experience but I'm not sure which course to book...
We teach 1-1, so we can adapt the lessons to suit any ability level. If you're self-taught, we recommend booking the Beginner course. Once you're here in the studio, we will look at your projects and tick-off everything you already know. We can then teach you at a more advanced level if needed.
How do I choose a production tutor to work with?
Once you've booked your course, you'll receive an email with a link to schedule your lessons. You can then choose your day, time and tutor. We recommend using the same tutor for most of your lessons, but you can mix and match.
How do I release my music with LSA Records?
Complete our Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Mixing & Mastering courses and then send us your demo submission for review. We will release your finished projects once they meet industry standards. We will also guide you on how to self release music or approach record labels.
Should I practice between production lessons?
Yes. We recommend two hours of practice at home for every two-hour lesson. It's also possible to book a production room at LSA if you want to practice here. Contact us to book a production studio.
Are the lessons fun?
